Enea Signs Carrier Wi-Fi Contract Worth USD 1.6 Million
Enea has signed an agreement for Carrier Wi-Fi with a North American mobile network operator. The Enea Aptilo Wi-Fi Service Management Platform will enable the mobile operator’s public Wi-Fi services that increase coverage and capacity for end users. The agreement, that covers new business with an existing customer, includes software licenses and professional services. Software licenses corresponding to a value of USD 1.2 million are booked in the fourth quarter of 2022. Remaining revenues are recognized during 2023. The total deal value is USD 1.6 million.
“The new agreement shows how Carrier Wi-Fi can be used to complement mobile networks. This is a cost-efficient way to improve coverage and capacity for end users. The contract is also an example of sales synergies between companies that we have acquired and integrated during recent years,” says Jan Häglund, President and CEO of Enea.
Enea’s 4G, 5G applications, and Wi-Fi service management products serve hundreds of millions of subscribers across the world. The software is cloud native and is commercially deployed on multiple platforms, including public cloud providers.
