State of Network Threat Detection

A Worldwide Survey of Network Security Professionals Reveals the Challenges of Keeping Up with Business & Network Transformations

A recent Cybersecurity Insiders survey of network security professionals, sponsored by Enea, shows that the industry is facing a number of persistent and increasingly challenging problems. Among these are acute alert fatigue, a steady erosion of network visibility, and a growing sophistication in cyberattacks. While network threat detection (NTD) tools are widely deployed and positively viewed, the survey also reveals that they must evolve if they are going to help security professionals meet both existing and emerging challenges.

“Over the past five years, our networks have been evolving at a pace which solution vendors have struggled to keep up with, even in the best of circumstances. And now AI is blazing an exponential growth curve; penetrating and reshaping the threat landscape in a way that makes it essential to fight fire with fire. These survey findings reveal a community of security professionals who understand this evolution and are eager for white hat AI to come to their aid to automate the security tasks that are overwhelming them and catch AI threats that can evade conventional tools.”
