DMOD-BRICKS

Enea Netbricks Line of Protocols for Fax and Data Demodulation for Lawful Interception

Enea offers a wide range of highly portable telecom protocol stacks for TDM, 3G, IMS, and NGN networks, as well as fax and data transfer protocols and signal processing and analysis software. All of our protocols stacks are compliant with ITU, ETSI, ANSI, IETF, 3GPP, and many other standards bodies’ specifications.

All Enea Netbricks protocols are written in ANSI C and take advantage of a modular, portable architecture that allows hardware platform and compiler independence. All protocols are provided in source code to over 400 network equipment providers (NEPs), and device OEMs worldwide, assisting them in getting products to market quickly, with very low risk and significantly reduced development costs.

  • Portable protocol stacks compliant with protocol standards as published by the key standards bodies around the world ( ITU, ETSI, ANSI, IETF, 3GPP).
  • Supplied as source code.
  • Used by over 400 global, industry leading telecommunications equipment manufacturers and OEMs.
  • Backed by over 20 years of protocol development expertise and 40 years of telecom software expertise.

DMOD-BRICKS is a demodulation variant of SOFTMODEM-BRICKS that is used for fax and voiceband modem interception.

It can be used to demodulate streams of samples (real-time or batch processing on recorded samples files). All fax modulations from V.21 to V.34hdx and data modulations up to V.92 are supported as well as upper layer protocol decoding : Asynchronous characters, HDLC, V.42, V.42bis, MNP4, MNP5, Fax T.30 with ECM and T.4, T.6, JPEG, JBIG image coding.

DMOD-BRICKS is applicable in the following systems: Signal Analysis, Law Enforcement, CALEA implementations, Electronic Warfare (ELINT-SIGINT-COMINT) implementations, Line Monitoring, Lawful Interception, Tapping systems, Security, Surveillance, Protocol Analysers.

Netbricks V5.1/V5.2 Converter™ is a standalone protocol converter device transforming multiple V5.1 interfaces Local Exchange (LE) side into a single V5.2 interface Access Network side (AN) or V5.1 interfaces Aside into V5.2 interface LE side.

The key functions supported are:

  • V5.1 stack LE and AN sides
  • V5.2 stack LE and AN sides
  • V5.1 LE to V5.2 AN conversion
  • V5.1 AN to V5.2 LE conversion
  • Provisioning and driving across a UART line
