T38-BRICKS is the implementation of the T.38 Fax Relay protocol and is available for use in Facsimile Gateways or in Internet Aware Facsimile devices (IAF). T38-BRICKS is fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 (03/2002) and implements the IFT (Internet Facsimile Transfer) protocol as specified in this recommendation. This protocol uses an IP network to transport the IFT protocol data units through UDP or TCP.
T.38 IAF software, called IAF-BRICKS, is an integrated FOIP package that includes the signaling and the fax transmission protocols (T.38, T.30 and SIP) required for an Internet Aware Fax (IAF) device. This ground-breaking software package can be easily integrated in FOIP-enabled software's and devices: IAF terminals, Fax Servers, IP-enabled PABX.

- Fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 Fax Relay specification
- UDP and TCP support.
- Tested at rates of up to 14.4 kbps and against IP network impairments such as packet loss, delay, jitter.
T38-BRICKS can be combined with other Enea Netbricks signaling protocols (MGCP-BRICKS, MEGACO-BRICK, SIP-BRICKS) in order to establish Internet session required to transfer T.38 IFP protocol data units. For example, Enea’s implementation of SIP available in SIP-BRICKS features ITU-T T.38 Annex D and RFC 3362 for support of T.38 in SIP.
